Born New York City, Schwartz studied at the Corcoran School of Art, the George Washington University, and Columbia University. He taught art at George Washington, and Mary Washington, College. He was a member of CAA, Western AA, Society of Washington Artists, and Oklahoma AA. His first solo exhibition at the Tricker Gallery in New York City, 1939, although he had exhibited at the CGA in 1927-1935 and the Carnegie Institute in 1932-1934. This charming example of an American illustration style is 14 1/2″ by 11″ in original artists’ frame.
