Dejonge graduated from St. Timothy’s in Maryland and Swarthmore. She additionally studied at the School of Fine Arts in Boston. While serving in France, June 1920, as a chauffeur with Mary Breckenridge’s “Devastated France” nursing program, she continued her art studies.
Settling in Pittsburgh upon her return to the United States, she became Director and Lecturer at the Pittsburgh Art Museum. Additionally, Dejonge was a longtime member of the Rockport Art Association. She was known primarily for her still lifes and florals.
