The Dead Artists Gallery presents “Coast at Gargano”

Taking a page, if not a lesson, from Henri Matisse(1869-1954), Attobelli decorated his canvas “Coast at Gargano” with pure colors, rejecting the nuances of Impressionists, and, more in favor of the Fauvists, expressed his spirit through color, abstract arabesques, flat dimensions and rhythm. He allows the viewer to infer the spiritual content of this delightful coastal scene based on his or her past experiences.

Oil on canvas, 25 x 29 in original frame circa 1970.

$650
