The Dead Artists Gallery presents “Climbing Roses”

Nos.tal.gia( From Gk “nostos, return home”). Perhaps Herschel M. Goodrich was experiencing a mood of nostalgia when he painted this delightful “Climbing Roses” in 1900. Recently transplanted from New England to San Francisco, he must have been remembering with fondness a scene from his earlier days. Are we not all feeling a bit of the same nostalgia today?
