The Dead Artists Gallery presents “ The Long Road Home”

Monochromatic AND Minimalist… but… painted with such talent and skill as to draw you towards the solitary figure time and time again, seeing something different each visit . Painted in 1929 by the landscapist Bernard DePooter (1883-1970), it is signed and dated L/R. Trained in The Fine Arts Academy of Antwerp under P. Van Der Ouderaa and later at The Higher Institute, DePooter found inspiration for his Belgium landscapes mainly in the Hempen.

Bearing the 1960 Museum Retrospective label on verso , this oil on canvas “The Long Road Home” is 16 x 20 in original bronzed frame,
