Additionally signed, dated, and inscribed on verso “G.A. Momdjian, 1955, Paris, “les Buttes Chaumont”. Born 1922 in Armenia but spent majority of his adult life in Paris. Momdjian became well known for his “park scenes.” This painting, “les Buttes Chaumont” is more affectionately titled “The Red Balloon”. His style is very suggestive of the earlier French impressionist Georges Seurat (1859-1891)
