The Dead Artists Gallery Presents “River Boats”

Wonderful depiction of a moored houseboat and several skiffs on a peaceful river. Painted in 1980 by the mid-century Russian Federation Impressionist Leonty Filipovich Chaloi (1929-?) and signed/dated in Cyrillic on verso. Graduate of the Russian Academy of Art and Sculpture, he was the assistant director of the Combine of Fine Arts, Leningrad. His works are held in many museums and private collections throughout Russia, France, Japan and South Korea. 23″ x 28″, unframed, $850.
