Edging toward surrealism, this hand-tinted limited edition serigraph (26/250) signed and titled by the artist Peter Ellenshaw (1913-2007) probably depicts Hyde Park, London. A graduate of the Royal Academy of the Arts, Ellenshaw was brought to California in 1947 where he worked on Disney productions for 40 years, becoming an Academy Award winning special effects artist, a motion picture production designer, a concept illustrator, and a “Disney Legend.” Known across the art spectrum for his landscapes and seascapes as well as his illustrations, he was especially fond of English and Irish park scenes. 27″ x 34″ in original simple gold-framed and matted presentation, $550.
