This unsigned view of one of the most beloved cathedrals of Paris is presented in its original, highly carved frame. It is inscribed illegibly on verso and dated “1954.”
This painting is attributed to Rudolph Gin, a polish ex-patriot artist living in Paris, known for his portraits of important Polish military figures and in whose collection this painting was found.
