The Dead Artists Gallery presents “Via Salaria, Roma”

Acrylic/Board

 Signed L/R “Ruhdan (Alexandre)”

One of Rome’s most famous streets is shown here on a dark and stormy night. The Via Salaria is both an ancient and contemporary road, which share a beginning, Rome, and end point, the Adriatic Sea. Cutting across the middle of the boot, the ancient road was used for salt access by the Sabines, who lived east of Rome.

 24 x 36 in original frame, c.1965
