 This powerful reminder of life’s cycle is simply told in a forest of conifers. The cyclic nature of this story is further enriched by the fact many of these western conifer forests are clone forests, and while the trunk and crown of the tree might appear dead, the root system is thriving and busy propogating new growth elsewhere along the ridge.
