This charming depicition of two Assatague ponies was captured by Maryland artist Johnson Holler on a perfect summer afternoon. The adaptation of these wild horses to eat salty marsh grass demanded a very large water intake, responsible for the large bellies of the ponies.
13 in x 24.5 in, original wood frame, circa 1975
$475
