The brisk early morning air, the rustle of the grass and the fresh smell of the conifer forest… Great adventure for two comrades somewhere in the New England mountains circa 1940. Clapham was a Vermont naturalist so probably the Taconic Range. Certainly captured the russet and fading greens of a perfect fall morning. Ready to hang in a mountain house or hunting Lodge…somewhere.
Oil on hardboard 24 x 29 in original tiered painted wood frame ,
$495.
