The Dead Artists Gallery Presents “Cityscape”

Maurice Utrillo in Canada? At least, an artist who was familiar with and aspired to import his style of cityscape to Ontario where this delightful oil on canvas board was found(he even borrows Utrillo’s color palette! ). With the nostalgic “Gimbal Brothers “ (Syracuse, Albany?) art supply stamp on verso, this 1950-ish genre piece becomes nostalgic itself. “Cityscape,” presented in its neutral frame with original linen liner 24 x 20, $495. Perhaps the title should actually be “Vertical Nostalgia!” Would love to know on which corner the artist was standing!
