(Francis Arcene) Poncil”, and presented in a wonderful carved and gilded wood frame 28 x 36 circa 1880-90. An early French expressionist, Poncil worked primarily with a color palette consisting entirely of russet, cream and gold, as shown in this image. (Several later Expressionists were drawn to this style as well.) $3200.
