The Dead Artists Gallery Presents “Forest Paths”

Pensive. Reflective. A bit melancholy. We love our trees!
Acrylic on masonite “Forest Paths.” Which fork to choose… Man’s constant dilemma. Painted about 1980 in his pre-abstract period by the French-Hungarian Post-war School of Paris artist Kalman Maklary, this particular painting has more the feel of the pre-war French Barbizon school than the abstract school with which he later identified. Working from Budapest Gallery of the same name, Maklary(1947-) successfully amalgamated his abstractionist/expressionist/surrealistic techniques in many of his paintings. Acrylic on masonite and framed in an earlier French Belle Epoch frame 25 x 21, $1850.
