“Forest with Lake Beyond.” Oil on canvas by the Chicago landscapist Albert Green circa 1920. Using primary colors physically placed adjacent to each other in the French Fauvistic fashion, Green was able to create wonderful plain air images in an exciting new style. Signed on verso “Green,” this piece is presented in a later simple frame 23 x 19, $525. A nice vertical painting.
