The Dead Artists Gallery Presents “Let’s Go Down”

Six sheep, ten adults and six children. All gathering under the ancient tree across the stream in this unique, rare oil on hardboard American naïve painted circa 1880 and presented in its original frame 13 x 15. We will never know why these good folks gathered in their Sunday Best… Was it a baptism, was it a funeral…. We just don’t know but it remains a unique remainder from the 19th century. We have chosen to title it “Let’s Go Down.” $425. Clever little bookcase piece.
