The Dead Artists Gallery Presents “Rediscovered”

Rediscovered…Oil on artist board by an unidentified New York plein- air artist circa 1875 in a 21 x 26 water-gilt frame of the same period. This artist painted very much in the style of Martin Johnson Heade (1819-1904) who was well-known for his depiction of hummingbirds, trailing vines and orchids. He also brings up to $3 million! Heade was one of the founders of the American school of Illuminism. Shown today for its first time… $675. See you this morning, opening day, Antique and Design Center, April High Point show.
