“Still Life with Oranges”, after a wonderful Chardonnay Elizabeth and I decided to retitle it “Still Life with Lidded Chalice”….seems like a more accurate description! Born at the cusp of the Russian Federation artist movement, Yakushev moved into an expressionist style reflecting a bold departure from pointillism while using its basic approach.
