The Dead Artists Gallery Presents “Una Vista Italiana”

As a boy I fell in love with Rome and things Roman. Four school years of Latin culminating with“Cesar’s Gallic Wars” solidified this love of Italy and things Italian. So how could I resist this Parisian street market find of a stylized Roman city in the distance and the pines of Rome filling the foreground? With my eyes closed, I could even hear the iron rimmed chariot wheels clanging along the stones of the Appian way. Transported as I was, I found an appropriate turn of the century frame 18 x 23 for this turn of the century oil on hardboard painting. Signed and annotated on verso(not yet translated) it is presented for your transportation at $550. “Una Vista Italiana. “
