The Dead Artists Gallery presents “Lake Colodny”

Oil on canvas. Signed, inscribed, and dated L/R “Charles Henry Payne, 1892”  (1850-1916).

Payne was an Irish-American painter in Chicago. He is listed in the Who’s Who in American Art. Although mostly known for his work in pastels, this is a rare example of his wide artistic interests and use of oil paint.
