Palini trained to become a sculptor. He was born in Cartona, Italy, but after studies in Paris at the Ecole De Francois, he began a career in painting which he pursued throughout life. In the 1940s, his various settings and angles of the harbor at Naples became very popular and sought after. This scene from a flowered balcony with magnificent columns evokes a warm summer day on the Adriatic Sea.
