The Dead Artists Gallery presents “Sur le Seine”
Adolph painted this piece during the first half of the 20th century. The painting features a hazy, impressionistic style seen in many French artists of the previous era. By the mid 20th century, the most experimental artists had moved to cubism, but many of them stayed in the impressionistic mode because it better suited the tastes of the people, while cubism appealed to the haute collectors and academicians.
